Alignerr is looking for an Aviation Communications Transcriber to decode, analyze, and catalog Air Traffic Control (ATC) audio. This is not generic audio transcription. You will dive into specialized, high-impact data annotation, translating fast-paced, real-world radio communications into high-fidelity training data that directly trains AI flight models, enhances cockpit safety, and pushes the boundaries of aviation autonomy.

If you can decipher overlapping frequencies, understand complex callsigns, and parse standard aviation phraseology by heart, this role is your launchpad.

What You’ll Do

• High-Accuracy ATC Transcription: Listen to and precisely transcribe real-world Air Traffic Control (ATC) and pilot radio transmission logs.

• Structural Data Labeling: Categorize and tag speakers, tactical callsigns, clear flight instructions, vectors, squawk codes, and pilot readbacks.

• Parse Aviation Cryptography: Accurately capture highly specialized aviation terminology, standard phraseology, ICAO phonetics, and operational abbreviations.

• Async Queue Management: Review and complete task-based audio assignments independently and entirely at your own pace.

• Maintain Dataset Integrity: Uphold rigorous quality and precision baselines essential for safety-critical machine learning training applications.

Who You Are

• Aviation Minded: You are a certified pilot, student pilot, military vet, Air Traffic Controller, flight dispatcher, or a deeply dedicated aviation enthusiast.

• Radio Fluent: You possess a native-level understanding of aviation radio conventions and can easily parse garbled, fast, or static-heavy radio frequencies.

• Hyper-Focused on Detail: Patient, analytical, and highly meticulous when processing multi-layered technical audio.

• Independent Operator: A reliable, self-motivated remote contributor who excels when working inside an asynchronous environment.

• Note: Prior professional transcription experience is not required—your deep, specialized grasp of aviation communications is what matters most.

• Frequent experience monitoring feeds on LiveATC or similar global aviation streaming platforms.

• An active professional background in flight training, airport ground operations, or route dispatching.

• Prior experience performing text data annotation, transcript auditing, or data labeling in any technical domain.
